FROM: MR. JONAS ABAS
FOREIGN REMITTANCE MANAGER
BANK OF AFRICA (B.O.A)
OUAGADOUGOU BURKINA FASO
PHONE NUMBER +226 75426425
Dear Friend,
I know that this mail will come to you as a surprise as we never meet before. I am the FOREIGN REMITTANCE MANAGER of B.O.A Bank of Africa, I Hoped that you will not expose or betray this trust and confident that I am about to repose on you for the mutual benefit of our both families.
I need your urgent assistance in transferring the sum of ($18.4M) Eighteen Million Four Hundred Thousand United States Dollars immediately to your account. The money has been dormant (in-active) for eight years in our Bank here without any body coming for it.
I want to release the money to you as the nearest person to our deceased customer MR. RICHARD BURSON FROM USA the owner of the account who died a long with his supposed next of kin in plane crash since 2000. I don't want the money to go into our Bank treasury as an abandoned fund, so this is the reason why I contacted you, so that my Bank will release the money to you as the nearest person to the deceased customer.
Please I would like you to keep this proposal as a top secret and delete it if you are not interested.
Upon receipt of your reply I will send you full details on how the business will be executed and also note that you will have 40% of the above mentioned amount if you agree to help me execute this business.
Thanks and waiting for your urgent response
Best Regards
Mr. Jonas Abas

Cell phone scam
Dear All,
I received this from a friend. It happened to him recently.
CELL PHONE CRIME
Its all started when I received a call from someone who claimed that he was from Maxis asking me to shutdown my phone for 2 hours for a 3g update to take place. As I was rushing for a meeting, I did not question him any further.
After about 45 minutes I felt very suspicious since the caller did not even introduced himself. I quickly switched on my cell phone and received several missed calls; some from my family members and several from the number that call me earlier - 3954380.
I called my parents and I was shocked that they sounded very worried. They asked me whether I was safe. My parents told me that they had received a call from someone who claimed that they have me with them and they were asking for ransom money to let me free.
The call was so real and my parents even heard my voice crying out loud asking for help. My parent was at the bank waiting for the next call to proceed with the money transfer. I told my parents that I was safe and asked them to lodge a police report.
Right after that I received another call from the same guy asking me to shut down my cell phone for another 1 hour. I refused to do so and hung up. They kept calling my cell phone until the battery ran flat. I myself lodged a police report and was informed by the officer that this kind of scam was quite common. However in most cases, the victim had already transferred the money! And it was impossible to get back the money. Banks could only returned back the money if the account holder agrees to do so or on the instruction of a court order.
Guys, be careful of this kind of scam. It might happen to any of us!!!
Those guys were so professional and very convincing. If they ask you to shut down your cell phone for updates, ASK THEM MORE QUESTIONS FOR EXPLANATIONS! Your friends/families should receive the same call.
Any Customer Service should introduce their NAME AT THE BEGINNING of the call. Ignore them if you don't get a name at the beginning of the call. If you received instructions from unrecognized number/person that you are not sure, make your own judgment. The BEST is DO NOT RESPOND.
If you cannot answer your loved one's call, DO CALLBACK immediately!
If you think you are SMART that you cannot be cheated, You are wrong!
Be Safe and Stay Alert!

Jenny Lee
Greetings from Jenny Lee,
after going through your information over the internet i decided to contact you for friendship and assistance for distribution of my inheritance towards charity. My name is Jenny Lee; I am a dying woman who has decided to donate what I have for the good work of charity. I am 60 years old and I was diagnosed for breast cancer for about 2 years now.
I have been touched by God to donate from what I have inherited from my late husband to you for the good work of God, rather than allow my husband evil relatives to use my husband hard earned funds ungodly. They don't care about man kind, all they care is how to rob some money from me and spend them ungodly. Please pray that the good Lord forgives me my sins. I have asked God to forgive me and I believe he has because He is a merciful God. I will be going in for a surgery soon and I want to make sure that I make this donation before undergoing my surgery.
I decided to donate the sum of $2,500,000 (two million five hundred thousand dollars) to you for the good work of the lord, and also to help the motherless and less privilege and also for the assistance of the widows and unfortunate mothers. At the moment I cannot take any telephone calls right now due to the fact that my husband's relatives are always around me and trying to see if they can overhear my conversations and my health status as well.
I wish you all the best and may the good Lord bless you abundantly, and please use the funds well and always extend the good work to others. I have informed my consultant about the ($2,500,000.00). it is true that I don know you and you don't know, but I have been directed by God to contact you for this. Thanks and God bless. I will direct you further after hearing from you.
NB: I will appreciate your utmost confidentiality in this matter until the task is accomplished as I don't want anything that will jeopardize my wish. Also I will be contacting with you only by email as I don't want my husband relations or anybody to know because they are always around me.
